Can this be done by the end of 2007?

As you can see, I totally skipped over doing the personalization on House 1 tonight, and carefully counted down to the floral vine instead. I stitched on this for quite a while, and when I looked at it just now I thought, "Hmmm, that is not so much for one night." The long green roof looks like it is going to be a bit of a yawn-fest to stitch, but I will forge ahead. I was also wondering tonight if this can be finished by the end of 2007, even if I do stitch on it every Monday. My guess is that there are maybe about 40 Mondays left in 2007 (this is pure speculation, as I am ridiculously mathematically challenged). I have just over half of the sampler left to do... with the minimal progress showing tonight, I really am beginning to wonder.... and am therefore all the more impressed by those stitchers who have whipped this one up so quickly!

I heard from Sonya today that she has received a belated birthday gift that I sent off to her, and I am glad she likes it. I have mixed feelings about this fob. I wish I had stitched it over one, as it is a little larger than I like my fobs to be.... but, here it is - this was one of the freebies I stitched last month:
A Pitcher of Posies Fob
Brightneedle
Silkweaver 36 ct Forest Haven Edinburgh Linen
Gentle Art Sampler Threads
Stitched 3/8/07 - 3/11/07

Hi from Beau!! Just caught him peeking at me when I was putting my stitching away. I cannot believe my little guy will be 10 years old on Wednesday! He is sitting in my lap right now as I type this. I really hate thinking about the mortality of my cats.... Isabelle, that reminds me of what you recently wrote about Violette.... it is hard to imagine life without our babies...

Stitched on today: Started a gift, and Houses of Hawk Run Hollow

Hi Carol...
I love kitty pictures. Someday in your blog I would love to know the names of each of your feline children and their ages. Who's the baby. You may have already posted this and if you have....I must have missed it. They are so beautiful and so different in color and markings.
HOHRH is looking great! Don't get discouraged.
Blessings,
Julie

I think I'll stitch my HOHRH with you on Mondays, Carol. It's a good idea. I'll just think of you stitching away on yours for my incentive! :) I'm only on the first house, though. Can't wait to see the progress you've made. If you put all the smallies you do into one big pile...it would more than equal finishing your HOHRH in 2007!! :)) You're good!!

HOHRH is looking marvellous - but then again so are ALL your WIP's. I'm trying to get back into the swing of things this week and getting back to 'normality' ... that includes a bit of stitching on Bordeaux today - yippee! I just have all the over-one grapes left, which I'm seriously dreading :( I just may do one or two then do a bit of the next band, and keep working that way until they're all done hmmm. It's great to see you pick up your Mermaid again - that's such a beautiful piece, and you must be so close to finishing it :D Great also to hear you'll be having a new SAL partner with all those trees! :D

That fob is cute, but Beau totally steals the show! He is gorgeous.
Yes, losing Violette is one of my biggest fears. I'm especially scared by FIP. It's been 2 years this week since we adopted her!

I think your HOHRH looks great and yes you can finish it this year!! Maybe if you're close to finishing you'll maybe need to cheat and just spend a week on it. It is looking so lovely. Are you stitching it in silks? I bet you are. Your cat is beautiful. Ours dont have birthdays as such but they turned 8 around feb/march

I love that fob! It's adorable! And she can use it as an ornament, too, if she wants.

That's a lovely picture of Beau, too. 10 years old? Wow, I wouldn't guess it!

And I think you can finish HOHRH by the end of the year if you really want to. I wouldn't stress over it, though! ;)

Beau looks very comfy. All my kitties are getting up there in age now as well, I try not to think of how old that makes them in kitty years as can't imagine the house without them all.

I think your fob turned out cute, and it doesn't look to large to me. Houses just keeps growing, but while it is a huge project there is a lot of 2007 left, so you should be ok, just may need to give it an extra day here and there to help it along.

HoHRH is gorgeous! You really are making good progress and you are getting so many other things done. All you can do is keep working :-). Love the little fob too.

That is a fabulous little fob :) CUTE, cute, cute!! Beau is a pretty kitty...(hold on here's another kitty story from me) My grandma had a kitty that was the exact same color as Beau (not a persian however) and she called him "Little Red" I was a baby and could say L's, so I called him Diddle Red his name henceforth was "Diddle Red" by everyone. He passed away when I was about 10...He was old, but such a loving cat :)
I have every confidence in you that HoHRH will be completed in 2007 :)

Beau looks so cute. I want to reach over and rub his tummy.

I hope working on HOHRH stitches up quickly for you so you can get it done before the end of the year. It seems kind of depressing at times when you realize how long it might take you to finish a piece. When I do that it makes me wonder if I'll ever finish the piece. I know you'll have yours done quickly with your smoking needle.

Happy birthday to Beau! It is said to think about life without our little "kids." Scott and I have a 17-year old cat (Zeit) who we are just dreading the day when she passes over.

HOHRH is looking great! I am STILL working on house 4, but I had a very busy weekend and Monday with very little stitching time.
If anyone can finish this on 2007, I would havew to say YOU can!
Cute fob!!

Beau looks SO sweet! And I know what you and Isabelle mean. I worry about Phoebe all of the time and have no idea how to get along without her. Too tough to contemplate.

I totally love it! Thank you! It's just perfect the way it is :)

It's the goodbyes we have to say to our little furry friends that puts me off finding another friend. The house is really empty without Puss Puss but I can't see us having another cat. My mum has said, 'you're the type that won't buy a ball in case you burst it', lol. I get what she means though, and she's probably right in this instance :(
